In the village of Thalames, Western Mani, O Platanos is a family-run tavern offering authentic Maniot hospitality and traditional Greek flavors.
Our story is rooted in Grandma Antonia, her recipes, and her love for local cuisine. Today, the tradition continues through Fotis and Christina, with respect for local ingredients and heritage.
Every morning, from 9:00 a.m., we serve a traditional breakfast with handmade pies, eggs, fresh juices, Hausbrandt coffee, and Greek coffee.
From 12:30 p.m. and throughout the day, we offer homemade Maniot and Greek dishes, using our own olive oil and family-produced rosé wine.
Signature dishes include tsouchti, kagianas, wild asparagus omelette, syglino, orange sausage, trahanas with syglino, and rooster with pasta.
Homemade desserts include spoon sweets, walnut pie, orange pie, and ekmek.
